Rotor design-asynchronous
Asynchronous rotors either have an integrally moulded squirrel cage of aluminium or they have a special copper cage with either inserted copper or die-cast copper. The die-cast copper will allow a reduction of rotor losses or an increase of power.

Rotor design-synchronous
Synchronous rotors are equipped with high-energy rare-earth magnets and reinforced with banding. The design depends on the required circumferential speed, geometry and performance. ATE computer programs are available for simulating the rotor strength in order to obtain the right design for our customers.
