Leutkirch – ATE ATE develops and manufactures several electric drives for Porsche LMP1 racing car 919 Hybrid. Formula 1 driver Nico Hülkenberg and his fellow drivers Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy, managed with their victory at the 24-hour race at Le Mans, a sensational result already in their second season after re-entry of Porsche. “We are very proud that we could contribute with our decisively high performance drives ‘Made in Leutkirch’ the success of Porsche in Le Mans,” says ATE CEO Wolfgang Merath.

Several projects in the racing area
The medium-sized company ATE has several projects in the racing area, because of a high demand for electric motors with highest efficiency and power density. ATE was founded in 2000 and has now 80 number of employees. In addition to the racing, ATE develops and produces customized motors for the machine tool industry, aerospace, medical, automotive industry, hydroelectric power plants and hybrid marine drives.
